故事讲的是二战欧洲最后一战科涅夫元帅的指挥的“布拉格战役”中，配属于苏军乌克兰第4方面军第38集团军快速集群的捷克斯洛伐克独立坦克第1旅的战斗故事。里面有些过度抬高了捷克军队的功绩，但战斗场面拍摄的非常宏大和精彩，交战双方用的武器装备基本都是真家伙，不是道具。　　(影片戰鬥場面宏大，有3000千名捷克斯洛伐克戰士參與拍攝。)

Plot Summary:The film is depicting Czechoslovak tank brigade fighting along with the Red Army in the WW II. During the War Czechoslovak armored brigade was formed and trained in the Soviet Union. Although aware that they will be fighting mighty enemy and that many of them will not survive, that did not stop them. Brigade was performing successfully in the battles for Kiev, Rudi, Bela Czernaczovo Cerkev and became renown in the battles for Dukla i Ostrawa. The film also deals with the faith of one tank crew, which fights on the most difficult terrain covered by the Czechoslovak Independent Brigade. The destiny of the tank commander, sergeant Juraj Klimke was followed during the bloody battle at Dukla. Juraj shows that his harshness is only a mask and that he is in fact a shy and sensitive person. Battle scenes in the film were enacted by 3000 members of Czechoslovak Army.
