Whilst Carol Rance makes an admission to Beverly Matt attends the funeral of an unpopular business manager, where the turn-out is poor and where he learns that the deceased stole over thirty thousand dollars from him. He gets drunk as a result, almost jeopardizing the new series and driving a wedge between the British couple given their opinion of money.
