Plot Summary:This is thinly veiled state sponsored propaganda from the French government. It has one purpose - erase its brutal colonial atrocities. Shame on France. Instead of learning about its brutal suppression of Vietnamese Independence, the audience watches a contrived fictional "romance" between a Vietnamese freedom fighter and a French soldier.
