怀沃先生的杂货店净是一堆没有名气的商品，顾客们不买帐，生意越做越差，而贷款人史奎茨又时时催帐，威胁收掉杂货店。怀沃先生愁眉苦脸，花心阴险的史奎茨想借机霸占怀沃漂亮迷人的女儿。 　　杂货店的店员乔原本打算向怀沃的女儿求婚，但如今内忧外患，他也只有愁眉苦脸的份。正当他发愁时，突然一个自称“及时雨”的小人从订婚戒指跳出。为了解决当前的困境，他带乔乘坐时光机来到六十年前。他究竟想用什么办法帮助怀沃先生和乔呢？
Plot Summary:Pop's grocery store is about to be shut down. The banker promises not to foreclose if Pop's daughter will marry him. The grocery store clerk, who is in love with Pop's daughter, is visited by a little creature named Easy - who whisks the clerk back in time via a spaceship in order to show him the glories of Stokely Van Camp canned foods. Returning to the store, the clerk promptly stocks the shelves with Stokely products. The customers return and the store is saved. The daughter, unaware of all of this, is about to marry the evil banker when the clerk and Easy swoop down and save the day.
