This experimental Lithuanian-German production offers a challenge for those not familiar with the culture. It is told without a clear narrative and contains no dialog. Set in the country's capital, Vilnius, in a run-down apartment. Mostly the film is a highly-symbolic chronicle of daily life there. At one point someone holds a party featuring music, dancing, plenty of cigarette...The atmosphere of a corridor between yesterday and tomorrow, where many doors open into the unknown ... A series of faces, gestures and images both real and imagined time. A mixture of dull and distant music sounds, like the sound of people dancing. And then, gradually, a community is rebuilt and dance resurfaces. The film is a series of symbols related to the troubled recent history of their country, Lithuania.
